Into the wild

Crinklechips Still Tropiques but with a soft evolution. The piano is replaced (largely) with bass clarinet. It makes their sound more odd if thats possible? The guy who plays the clarinet can reach amazing screaming highs for a bass instrument! This album has multiple tracks unlike the last, yet it could still be one continuous piece if Goran wanted to mix it that way. The psychedelic keys really push this free jazz into a trippy space. I can’t stop playing this! Favorite track: Traces left behind.

StrangeFlow I love listening to this while painting - it's an ever changing pool of rhythms and bold soundscapes and it always gets catchy as soon as I start thinking "does this still have a structure right now?" Nice strange freejazz! Favorite track: Traces left behind.
Smekermann

Smekermann This is one of the more unique jazz albums I've heard in that it fuses its core genre to others that I wouldn't have even imagined possible. If I were to attempt to describe the music, it would be psychedelic Krautrock with sequenced analog synths mixed with modal jazz, which sometimes dissolves into free jazz on a whim, then builds a different rhythm from that formlessness, and goes off somewhere else. Add to this an incredible rhythm section and you have a potential jazz classic on your hands. Favorite track: Swirls.

Kobi Eshun Can't get me enough of that bass clarinet! Favorite track: So Don.
